1. Information We Collect
To provide the ValRequest service we collect only what is necessary: (1) When you sign up or log in via a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive your email, name, and profile picture and store them in our database to identify your account. (2) When you generate greetings, we send the options you choose (e.g. recipient, style, keywords) and your chosen language to our AI provider to produce the text. We do not store the content of generated greetings on our servers. (3) We store your credit balance and transaction history (purchases and usage) to operate the credit system.
2. How We Use Information
We use your account information to authenticate you, show your profile and credit balance, and to record credit purchases and usage. The inputs you provide for greeting generation (recipient, style, keywords, language) are sent to our AI provider only to generate the response and are not used to train models or for marketing. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing.
3. Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Stripe for payments, and an AI provider (e.g. OpenRouter) for generating greeting text. Each has its own privacy policy. We may use analytics (e.g. site usage) to improve the product; such data is aggregated and does not identify you personally where possible.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage for session and authentication (e.g. keeping you logged in) and, if applicable, for analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect login and site functionality.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: encrypted connections, secure authentication, and access controls. Payment data is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. No system is completely risk-free; we will notify you of any breach that affects your personal data where required by law.
6. Children's Privacy
ValRequest is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
